West Beach Construction Limited was incorporated in April 2024 and is registered at 30 Aniseed Grove, Timberlea, Upper Hutt. The company is owned and run by Ethan Mansell, a builder who answers the phone himself, does his own quotes and is on site for the work. We are a member of New Zealand Certified Builders, and we build residential work across Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt, Wellington city, Porirua and the Kapiti Coast.
West Beach Construction Limited is a member of New Zealand Certified Builders (member since February 2026) and displays the Halo 10 Year Residential Guarantee. Ask us about the guarantee when you request a quote - it is offered on qualifying residential work and gives you cover that a handshake never can.

We look before we quote
Every quote follows a site visit. Wellington region houses hide too much for anyone to price from a photo and be honest about it.
Itemised, written quotes
You see what is included and what each part costs, so scope can be adjusted before the job starts rather than argued about after.
One team, one programme
We manage the plumber, electrician, tiler, painter and joiner ourselves, so you deal with one person and one timetable.
A tidy site and a proper handover
Site cleaned daily, a walk-through at the end, and the consent paperwork handed over where the job needed it.
Ethan Mansell, director
Ethan is the director of West Beach Construction and the builder you will deal with from the first phone call. He established the company in 2024, and he does the quoting and the site work himself rather than handing clients to a sales person. Clients regularly mention the same things in their reviews: detailed quotes, problems solved before they were asked about, and communication that does not stop once the job has started.
Licensing, membership and guarantee
West Beach Construction Limited is a member of New Zealand Certified Builders (NZCB), an association whose members must hold recognised trade qualifications. Restricted building work, which covers structural and weathertightness work on homes, is carried out or supervised by a Licensed Building Practitioner as the Building Act 2004 requires. Through NZCB we can offer the Halo 10 Year Residential Guarantee on qualifying work. Company number 9198620, NZBN 9429052012082.
